Refund Policy

Orosy is software — it does not hold, process, or settle funds. Any payments are handled by third-party payment providers (e.g., Stripe, Toss Payments) that you connect to your own account, and money flows directly between you and your customer. Orosy is not a payment processor, payment facilitator, or merchant of record.

This Refund Policy governs payments and refunds for use of Orosy's (the "Company") Service. This policy forms part of the Terms of Service.

Article 1 (Plan Overview)

  1. The Company offers the following plans:
    • Free: no charge; metered billing when usage limits are reached
    • Standard / Pro / Business: monthly or annual subscription (17% discount on annual)
  2. Paid plans activate immediately upon payment and renew automatically at the end of each billing cycle.
  3. Users may turn off auto-renewal at any time and can continue using the Service until the end of the current billing cycle.

Article 2 (Free Trial)

  1. At sign-up, users can try Standard-plan features free for 14 days.
  2. No credit card is required during the trial.
  3. If the user does not select a plan when the trial ends, the account automatically switches to Free (account and data are preserved).

Article 3 (Subscription Refunds)

3.1 Withdrawal within 7 days of payment

  • Under Article 17 of the Korean E-Commerce Act, withdrawal is available within 7 days of the payment date.
  • However, withdrawal is restricted in the following cases:
    • When 50% or more of a service limit has already been used (e.g., 100+ of a 200-booking limit registered)
    • When withdrawal is impossible by the nature of the service (Content Industry Promotion Act, Article 27)

3.2 Mid-term cancellation after 7 days

  • Monthly subscriptions: no refund on mid-term cancellation; the Service remains available until the end of the billing cycle.
  • Annual subscriptions: on mid-term cancellation, a refund of the balance is available after deducting the standard (monthly) price for months used (the applied discount is recovered).

    Example: annual payment $290 (effective $24/mo with 17% discount) → cancelled after 5 months of use
    Standard-price deduction: $29 × 5 = $145 → Refund: $290 − $145 = $145

Article 4 (Refunds on Usage-Based Charges)

  1. Metered charges for usage beyond a limit (e.g., $1 per booking over the Free booking limit) are treated as consumed services and are non-refundable.
  2. However, refunds are available in the following exceptions:
    • Incorrect charges due to a Company system error
    • Duplicate payments
    • Other reasonable grounds recognized by the Company

Article 5 (Add-on Refunds)

  1. Add-ons (additional shops, staff, conversation limits, etc.) are billed monthly.
  2. Users may remove an add-on at any time, and it will not be charged from the next billing date.
  3. Add-ons already paid for remain usable until the end of the billing cycle regardless of use and are not partially refunded.

Article 6 (Refunds for Service Discontinuation by the Company)

  1. If the Company permanently discontinues the Service for its own reasons, it refunds the amount corresponding to the user's remaining period.
  2. For temporary interruptions (e.g., maintenance), compensation follows these standards:
    • Cumulative downtime of 4+ hours in a month: 10% discount on the next billing date
    • Cumulative downtime of 24+ hours in a month: 50% discount on the next billing date, or one month of free extension

Article 7 (Refund Procedure)

  1. Refunds can be requested by:
    • Email: support@orosy.io
    • "Request a refund" in the account settings page (added after launch)
  2. The Company processes refund requests within 7 business days of receipt.
  3. Refunds are issued to the same payment method used (additional business days may be required depending on the payment provider's policy).
  4. The relevant feature/limit may be deactivated immediately after a refund is processed.

Article 8 (Account Deletion and Refunds)

  1. If a user chooses to permanently delete their account, refunds of any unused balance follow the general provisions of this policy.
  2. After account deletion, data cannot be recovered and further refund requests may not be processed, so please decide carefully.

Article 9 (Dispute Resolution)

  1. Refund-related disputes are resolved first through consultation between the Company and the user.
  2. If consultation is difficult, mediation can be requested from the following Korean bodies:
    • Korea Consumer Agency (kca.go.kr)
    • Electronic Commerce Mediation Committee (ecmc.or.kr)
